Font, Icon & Resolution Troubles.

Over this past weekend I did a serious upgrade to my
computer and along with that I purchased an oem copy of
Win XP Pro. Yesterday I got it all back together and
installed XP with no hitches. Today is where I've run
into some issues. I'm running XP at a fairly high
resolution but somehow or other I've gotten the font
sizes and icon sizes all messed up because web pages
don't look right anymore and my icons are all blocky and
distorted. Is there anyway to reset XP to the display
defaults? Before I started messing with it I had set it
to a resolution that made everything look stretched out
and I hated that but now that I'm to a better resolution
everything still looks messed up. Please help.
