Today I noticed that when I open My Computer the title "Local Disk (C)" is
in a blue font instead of black When I open the C drive some folder titles
are blue and others are black Other than that everything seems to be okay.
Does anyone how to correct this?

Decompress the files.

I don't know what that means. Can you please explain the steps to do this as
I am not computer savvy. Thanks. Stan

"Correct" isn't the right word. They are shown in blue because they
are compressed, probably because you recently did a Disk Cleanup, and
left the default to compress old files. The blue files are compressed
as a result of that choice you made.

Uncompress them, if you don't want them compressed.

Got the following explanation from a different NG and it may help others:
By design, WinXP automatically compresses files that do not get used
frequently, and, if you've left the default settings intact, displays those
files in blue. Encrypted files are displayed in green

If you wish to change this behavior, in Windows Explorer, click Tools >
Folder Options > View > Advanced settings
UNcheck "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color".
