Font changing on Signature Block

We implemented a manditory signature block and sporatically, when end users
reply, one line in the block is Ariel 10 pt Bold Italic. This line changes
to New Roman 10 pt Bold Italic. We are on Outlook 2002 SP3 using HTML and
Word Editor. I usually recreate the signature block, resolving the issue;
but that did not work this time. Do you have any suggestions? From other
message boards, I see this is a reoccuring issue within Outlook.

I further found that when going into the new email and I right clicked on the
signature and went into the Email Signature... it shows the default font as
being Times New Roman 12 and the line was changed to that setting. I can
create a modified signature and apply it, bit it does not seem correct. But
why is that happening in the first place??
