Signature font won't "stick"

I’m using Outlook 2003 and am having a problem with my signature file
switching to Times Roman when I create a new message although I specified the
signature font to be Arial.

How can I get the signature to keep the Arial font and not revert to Times
Roman? Could there be some sort of overriding Microsoft setting that takes
precedence over the signature settings? I have looked over the postings on
this topic in this discussion and tried several of the suggestions but
nothing has worked. Here are some notes on my Outlook settings:

I went into the Microsoft Signatures folder to check the source signature
files (html, rtf, txt.) They show up as Arial.

Outlook settings:
Tools-Options-Mail Format.

Hi Diane,

I am having exactly the same problem and it's driving me mad. It doesn't
matter if I edit from Outlook or Word. Some of the lines of my signature stay
as Ariel, some change to TNRoman. In Word, the font was showing as "Strong".
When I changed all the fonts to use "Normal" which I had set as Ariel 10,
everything changed to TNRoman, even those that has been fine as ariel. It's
incredibly frustrating and looks extremely unprofessional. This also changes
with each machine we put the signature on.

I've read this whole section and cannot find anything which provides an
answer.

Many thanks for your help.

Are you using word or outlook editor? if word, is a font assigned to the
signature style?
