font changes in email attachment

When I email a word document (2003) as an attachment the font changes from 10
to 12 for the person opening the file. I email the files to 2 people at the
same office and 1 person gets it correctly and the other 1 has the font
change. Any ideas? Thanks

You probably have "Automatically update document styles" checked under Tools

Templates and Add-ins.

With this checked, when you open the document, it automatically updates the
styles based on the attached tempalte, probably Noraml.dot in your case. This
is designed for situations where strict style usage is important. Since your
document is probably based on Normal.dot, the one person that has a different
font has his/her Normal.dot set with a different normal style, so when the
style are update at opening, the font size changes.

Uncheck that option and only use it if you really need to re-infroce style
usage.

My "tools" doesn't have templets and add-ons. Any other suggestions???

Are you displaying the entire Tools menu? If you have adaptive menus still
enabled, you may have to click the arrows at the bottom to expand the menu.
