FOLLOWING FILE MISSING

When I turned on my computer today I could not get it
open. It turned on the a DOS screen that said
the Following File Missing \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I tried to put in the repair disc(BLUE). It asks me
Wndows installation would you like to log onto...yet it
does not let me enter XP? What should I do to get my
computer up and running right?
