Foler Problem

I have a problem with Win XP, whenever I create a new
folder or rename files I have to exit the folder and go
back into it to see the changes that I made....... It is
very frustrating when I have many files to rename and it
doesn't show the changes "live"

To demonstrate in windows explorer, create a new folder and name it:
123456789012345678901

then select view/refresh

then rename the folder to:
123456789012345678901234

the name will be truncated

select view/refresh and the full name will be displayed.

This is a feature.
