Folders Won't Delete

XP/SP2 Home. Files will delete, but trying the various methods to
delete folders hang ups Windows Explorer. Delete ok with Power Desk
file manager. Have tried repair install and recovery, but so far no
go. Any other ideas short of new install?

Actually, folders won't delete with Power Desk. What they will do is
drag and drop (copy), which isn't working for folders in Win Explorer.
