folders will not open!!

after trying to get rid of a theme which changed the default icons for my
folders i found that double clicking my folders failed to open them ive been
into the folder obtions and cant change how folders are opened, ive also
tryed to change the command string through the registry but that didnt work
either. can anyone give any help? James
