Folders View Slow to Open

I am running Wordperfect 11 on Windows XP. When I try to open the Folders
view in Wordperfect 11, it takes a long time for the view to open.
Apparently, Wordperfect 11 is searching the various drives on my computer,
since I can hear the a:\ drive being activated.

This didn't use to happen. From reading posts to this site, I believe that
there is a Windows XP registry setting that is causing the Folders view to be
slow in opening. Can anyone shed light on this problem?

I left out an important clue. After I have opened the Folders view once,
the next time I try to open that view, it opens more quickly.

Thus, apparently, Windows XP or Wordperfect stores some kind of data that
facilitates opening the Folders view. But every time I shut down my
computer, the data is erased. That accounts for the initial slow opening of
the Folders view. Does that shed light on the problem?
