Folders Read Only

For some odd reason every folder i create is marked as Read Only. I try to
remove the read only green box on the folder properties but the read only
attribute is still appearing. The folders I'm creating are at the root of C
and the root of an external drive as well as another test i was trying to
perform. This just started happening. I'm runnin XP Pro SP2.

This is rapidly getting to be one of the most asked questions of all time.
XP sets ALL folders as "read-only". Don't worry about it. All the files
within that folder will still be accessible.

It's normal for XP. Don't worry about it. You can only change files, not
folders.
