Folders not remembering settings

Hello,
I have several folders on my desktop that contain
shortcuts to programs. I have set the folders to display
icons, but when I open the folder it changes to view
details and the size and position of the last time I
opened the folder is also changed.

How can I get my folders to remember the size, position
and icon view the next time I open the folder.

Select your desired view, then click on Tools>>Folder Options>>View
tab>>"Apply to all folders"
