For some reason, several folders are not appearing in the FrontPage folder
list even though the folers are there; I can see them in Windows Explorer.
Does anyone know why this might be the case?

Thanks

Some folders are always hidden in FrontPage, these are used by FrontPage to
manage the web, and should never be touched. Other folders are normally
hidden, but can be seen by using Tools->Web/Site Settings - Advanced tab,
and check the box "Show hidden files and folders"

Ron,

Thanks much for the response. I checked the 'Show hidden...' check box and
it was already checked. The folders that are not appearing contain some
graphic files that are required by the web site. Interestingly, the folders
do appear on the 'Remote Web Site' pane, but not in the 'Local Web Site'
pane. I find this very odd, and don't understand why they are not showing up
in the Local pane. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Thanks again.

Open the local web, and do a "refresh".

Please give the name of some of these folders.
Try Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks to see if they will appear.

In Remote site view check that the dropdown (just above the words "Local Web
Site" is set to Folder Contents. Other settings will show fewer, or no,
files.

Look inside the invisible folder for a file called:

" .fp_folder_info"

You'll find the file in a folder called
"_vti_cnf"

Delete the file and the folder will suddenly appear in Frontpage.

Deleting the file doesn't seem to cause any problems... so there's no good reason not to do it.

:-)
