Folder with 0 bytes

S

Steve B.

I have a .PST file that Explorer says is 182,000 kb.
However, when I check the corresponding folder size in
Outlook, it shows that the folder has a size of 0 bytes.
I also cannot view the subfolders corresponding to
the .pst in Outlook's Folder List but the .pst file is
definately associated with the folder.

I've run Scanpst and it found no errors and it reported
the expected number of subfolders.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Try using Microsoft's PST crop utility. (Do an advanced
search in the Knowledge Base for .pst crop)

There is a switch that will allow you to run the utility
without cropping any of the data. Check out the readme
file for this option. Once you've cropped the .pst file
you'll need to run scanpst again to rebuild the index.

This has worked for me in the past.
