I used to know how to get all my folers to view in the same format.
but now I forgot how I did it.

more info: I want all my folders to appear the same when I open them.
example: the folders showing on the left and the file details on the right.

win xp home.

Thanks: and I just figured out the other thing that was confusing me.
I also wanted all the folders to change when I change one of them.

in other words in my documents I change the view to "icons" instead of
"list" and all the folders I open appear that way.

I had to do what you said, and in folder options - view- I unchecked the box
for "remember each folders view settings".

Hi, Greg.

Open Windows Explorer. Set the view as you want all other windows to appear.
Go to Tools/Folder Option and select View. Click on "Apply to all folders".
Exit WE using File/Close.

All folders should now open in the same view.

Hope this helps,

Ed
