Folder tree opening slow on new copied drive

Mr Ranger

HI,
Copied contents of old drive to new 250G drive. Both drives have two
partitions. Old drive is fat32. New drive NTFS.

Problem: New drive is very slow opening a folder tree. When selecting the
move or copy functions and trying to select a folder with large contents, I
have to wait 30secs to a minute. The old drive does so instantly. The new
drive is a mirror of old, why is the new and I might add better drive
having this problem?

Thanks,
Mr Ranger

how big did you make on the new 250 hdd partiton on NTFS.
i suggest that you have to make 2 or more partition on it. since NTFS support 137 gb ( microsoft said )
or the motherboard that you have needs a bios update!!

C: is 20G & D: 220G. The files that are responding slowly are of course on
the D: drive. I will try partition magic and make another partition or
two. Although maybe a bios update.

Thanks
