Folder Sizes

I am using OL2003 on Exchange 2003.

I do not use Journal and all settings are switched off to ensure it does not
use up any of my valuable allocation. However when I view the folder size
for Journal it is taking up 5kb of space in the grand scheme of things is not
much but there is nothing in the folder. When I have looked at colleagues
theirs list as 0kb.

Could you give me some indicators as to why an empty folder may accrue 5kb
when empty? I have played around with views to ensure I have not
accidentally dragged any items into this folder by mistake.

Any ideas would be grateful.

The 5kb could be your view modifications, which are stored in the folder as
hidden items. Starting Outlook with the /cleanviews switch will remove all
view modifications from all folders. Personally, I would not find 5kb worth
worrying over compared with the hassle of recreating favorite views all over
again.
