The folder shortcuts that I create do not work. For
example, I create a shortcut (by rightclick, drag) to a
folder in the My Documents folder, then doubleclick that
shortcut. I should see the contents of the folder that it
points to, but instead nothing happens. Instead I see an
hourglass for five seconds, then nothing.
(I posted about this before. Doubleclicking a folder in
Explorer works fine. Open is listed in bold in the context
menu.)
This did not fix the problem:
Download and run the .LNK file association fix from
Doug's site:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
And this didn't fix it either:
Enter in cmd window:
"regsvr32 BROWSEUI.dll"
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll"
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
