Setup:
Windows Server 2003
Active Directory at Windows 2003 Functional level
Windows XP with SP1 + Hotfixes

I am redirecting "My Documents" and "Desktop" to a share on a file server.
The problem I'm having is that "My Pictures" is being redirected to the
server in a folder under "My Documents". I want "My Pictures", "My Music"
and "My Video" to point to the local hard drive; we don't have a business
use for these so they shouldn't be saved on the server.

Folder Redirection for "My Pictures", "My Music" and "My Video" do not show
up in Group Policy (I believe I read somewhere "My Pictures" shows up in
Mixed Mode and 2000 Mode but not 2003 Mode?). I have manually set the three
paths to "C:\" in these keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

"My Music" and "My Video" stay pointed to "C:\", but if I logout and logon,
"My Pictures" keeps pointing back to the server. I've tried deleting my
profile (thinking the setting was stored somewhere else in the profile), but
every time I logon the setting is changed. Is there a way to force "My
Pictures" to point to "C:\"?

I could put something in the logon script to change the registry everytime
someone logs on, but that's not really an acceptable solution.

Hi Paul-

It certainly sounds like you ahve the setting correct. What does a
USERENV.LOG taken of a repro of the problem show for the My Pictures portion
(you should be able to search it for Pictures)?
