Folder Recycling Permission?

I needed to restore Vista from the Recovery Partition, and chose the option
of backing up the current system. After transfering the files I needed, I
left the Backup folder in place. Now that Vista has performed satisfactory
for a month, I tried to Delete/Recycle the Backup folder, but get a msg
saying I need permission. I'm running as Administrator, so what else must I
do? Thanks.

I get this message frequently for my own personal files or folders, it's
really annoying, they're my files and folders, why should I need permission
to move or delete them!??! Yet another marvellous feature of Vista.... I
think they might fix it in SP1 though, if not then maybe in SP2.

I ran the takeown cmd on the BACKUP folder (in the elevated Cmd Prompt mode),
first using the /r (recursive) param. It ran for 15 min, then stopped
working. I then ran it again without the /r, which said it was successful.
HOWEVER, I still get the message that I don't have permission to delete the
BACKUP folder. Any suggestions?
