Folder Options on my Desktop

I can't remove the "Folder Options View" on my desktop. Now a folder bar
appears on my desktop (located on the left side of the screen appx 5cm wide)
with the drop down menus "Folder Tasks", "Other Places" and "Details". I have
no clue how I've turned this view on. I need to turn it off because this view
disturbs me the way I work. I need your help. thanks

Type in Start Run
regsvr32 /i shell32
and reboot.

Select 'Use Classic Windows Folder' from the folder options on the tools menu
in Window Explorer,

If this doesn't work a reg edit from Kellys Korner will do the trick.
