I have made some folders that contain different files to be viewed as <type>
and <grouped>. But often the folders change itselfs witout me making any
changes to the original state without <grouping> and being viewed after
<name>. It's really anoyoing to set them up again.

Hi,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000

I don't know 400 hundred. I have only changed a few, and the folders are in
my documents folder

This may occur when I maybe run chkdsk or something else that interferes
with the files/folders.
By the way registryng this file, you know what happend?

I had to setup the folders again.

Folder Options> View: check box to remember view for each folder.
