Folder & File & Other Task Windows

The window on the left hand side of my screen has vanished all i see when I
open up is the folders............can anyone help please--

1. Open My Computer.
2. Click Tools - Folder Options
3. On the General Tab - Click Show Common Tasks in Folders

There you go. Let me know, if it is solved.
