For the last 2 days, when I open Microsoft Outlook I get an error message
saying that "$FMaker.dot is not valid." How can I correct this error? If I
delete this file, will Outlook automatically create a new file that will be
valid? Or do I have to re-install the program? I will be grateful for any
help with this.

it's a temp copy of pdfmarker - close outlook, search for fmaker and delete
the temp copy then reopen outlook.

Diane, thank you VERY much. This answers my question perfectly, and relieves
my mind greatly.
