Flushing ARP cache failed

I have my laptop XP professional connected to my desktop
XP professional.I can see files in my desktop from my
laptop but i can not delete/copy or write to my desktop
from the laptop.When I try to execute a Repair network
command I get the following error message: The following
steps of the Repair operation failed: Flushing ARP cache.
This started to happen after i upgraded my laptop from
Home Edition to Professional.
Any ideas ?

I wouldn't worry about that error. Sounds like you have a permissions
issue.

Failure Flushing ARP Cache

This is driving me NUTZ! Im sick of doing it manually every single time. Ever since I did the patch, im having problems. I am on a cable connection and my internet is slower than a dial up. Please help with a solution on how to fix this permenatley
