Hello,

If the borders and title of your windows is solid gray that means your
computer does not support Aero. You need a recent video card and a decent
system in order to display the cool new effects like Flip3d.

If you believe your system SHOULD be capable, you can have windows re-test
your computer.

- Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Click System and Maintenance
- Click "Check your performance rating" under system
- Click "Refresh my rating now" under the big number

For best results on the rating test, shut down all programs before running
it.

Look at the upper panel on your Welcome Center screen where it says "(your
name) Welcome to your computer". If you don't see "Microsoft Corporation
WDDM" after your video adaptor you do not have an Aero Glass compliant video
adaptor or a WDDM driver for it. Aero is the theme and you will see that,
but not Glass. Glass is needed for flip3d.

Windows help tells you: When you press ALT+Windows key on your keyboard,
you'll see all your open windows have been stacked one on top of the other.
It is actually the Windows key+Tab combination that works

You should report this as a bug to MSFT with the feedback tool. Take a
screenshot of the help file and send it as well.

Good catch!

And, also try Ctrl+Windows Key+Tab. Then you can release the keys and you
stay in 3D Flip mode until you left-either click or press Enter.

Right-click on the Desktop and choose "Personalize" from the context menu.
This will bring up the Control Panel>Personalization window. Click on
"Visual Experience." Make sure the "Enable transparent glass" box has a
checkmark in it. If you can not check the box, it may be that your system
is able to handle the "Vista Core Experience" but not the visually enhanced
"Aero Glass" experience.

Using just WindowsLogoKey + Tab triggers Flip3D.
You don't need the Ctrl key.

Using control locks it in place and then you can just tab through them. Not
using control you have to hold down the Windows+Tab to scroll

I switch apps so quickly, my holding down said keys takes less time than
blinking.
They let you hold the Flip display just so you can savor the awe of the
presentation and show it to your friends.
