Flashing disk icon next to mouse pointer

I have a flashing disk icon to the right of the mouse pointer. What does it mean? And are there more symbols that may show up there.
 
Hi Dean,

A flashing disk usually indicates that you've inserted a CD/DVD and the
system is reading the information from it. It can also occur if you have a
VirtualCD program installed and running on the system.
