Please somebody help me. I have tried numerous things people have told me to
do and checked to make sure active X is enabled and it is. Now what?

What are you trying to do...Go to macromedia.com get shockwave player
then install flash player,after that they run by themselves.

I have done that. It will not download. The download stops in the middle.
It like freezes up, and does nothing

After it is downloaded u should go to ur DOWNLOADED
PROGRAM FILES by clicking on the options to Intenet
explorer and update ur SHOCKWAVE PLAYER OBJECT.
