Flash Memory

I have two computers both with Windows XR Home, I have
bought a USB Flash Memory Drive but only one computer
will recognise it, I have checked Bios and USB support is
enabled, Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?

both USB ports do work as I have a printer and scanner
which use them
