flagging emails for followup

I am used to an older version of outlook that would pop up a visual reminder
whenever flagging an email for followup. This reminder was similar to
caledar reminders. In the newer version of outlook, I cannot find a way to
make that happen. They appear in a preset followup folder but I would like
to visual reminder on screen that you have to either dismiss, snooze, accept,
etc.

after you flag the message - right click on the flag and select "add
reminder"... you can then set a date and time for the reminder... I assume it
will pop up a visual reminder... haven't actually tried it....
