How do I follow up on sent emails with assigned reminder flags?

I am using the flag feature to followup on items I have delegated through
email; however, my reminder window nor the followup folder is capturing these
as active reminders.

For example, if I delegate an item to another through email I want a
reminder to display for them and myself when that item is due. I shaded flag
appears in my sent mail but I do not receive a reminder.

reminders only trigger in inbox and the other special folders, not sent -
you'll need to use reminder manager from slovaktech.com to trigger the
reminders.
