Good Day All!

I have a system that has been blue screening and the event viewer codes were
pointing to memory - running diagnostics came up clean on all systems (HDD,
RAM, and system board).

I ghosted an image up to the network and had a like system to replace the
problem
child PC, then I ghosted the same image back down and gave the PC back to
the end
user.

The blue screening have all but stopped since... there are a few times
where it might
blue screen but not anywhere near as often as it had before (from 10 a week
down
to 1 maybe 2 a week).

I was woondering if there are any good programs out there that would
correct a
corrupt load (I think the new system is fine, but the load got corrupted
slightly by
the bad system and I want to try to straighten it out before my last resort
of a full
rebuild).

I tried to run SFC, but couldn't get it to take...

Thanks!
Scott

Hi Scott,
Technology wise, I probably wouldn't be able to help you, but here's a post
I made and the suggestion I received. My problem turned out to be a crashed
hard drive so the suggestion didn't help me. Maybe you'll have better luck
with it.

Corrupt Windows XP config file

Russ: Question: 10/19/2005 8:37 PM PST
While starting Windows XP error message appears, "windows could not start
because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\config\system". I desperately need help.
