Fixing RPC problem...

ok apparently there is a patch to stop this. but how can
i install it when i only have 1-2 minutes before my
computer restarts itself?

i had the same problem and i think i have fixed it.
i was lucky because i succceeded to download the file in
4 minutes, before the message ocured()........!

I had the same problem today. It was causing me to

shutdown. Luckily I have another computer which did not
recieve this bug. I went on my other computer and
downloaded the patch that Mcloppy tells you to here in the
newsgroup.If you go to micro.com. On another computer of
course....put in products..xp then in other words...
823980, the patch will come up. I had the same problem you
had. Luckily I had another computer to use and I just put
it on to a floppy then put it in my affected computer.
Hope you get it fixed. I wonder why people do evil crap
like this.
