FIXED my slow loading IE6

For some reason IE6 started opening extremely slowly on my Dell
Pentium 4 running XP Home. It would take it up to 4 minutes to fully
open and ran slugishly. I tried everything I could think of such as
defragmenting etc. Nothing worked. I tried all the recommendations
found in this newsgroup such as changing the accessibility options
and running Spybot to no avail. Finally a fellow named Ned Heller
said he uninstalled Norton Antivirus then reinstalled it and it worked
for him. I did the same with Systemworks and IE6 looks to be back to
normal.

This worked for me as well. I had installed Norton
System Works 2003 Standard Edition. The problem didn't
occur immediately but soon thereafter. After
uninstalling and reinstalling the problem has seemed to
disappear.

Good luck to all who find this thread! I can't believe
this hasn't shown up on the Microsoft or Symantec
knowledge bases yet.
