fix the ugly fonts in XP full screen command prompt?

Is there a free method of changing the font used by Windows XP in full
screen command prompt mode? The default is horrendous. I can easily
change the fonts used in windowed mode but even in so doing, when I
switch to full screen it goes back to that disgusting, eye agonizing
font.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc.? Thanks.

The fonts come out of the file EGA.CPI I think. I've
never seen an editor for CPI files of Windows NT/2K/XP.
