FIX DISK COMMAND

i'm running windows xp and i'm trying to perform a FIX DISK command. is that
option no longer available? if it is, where can i find it? i tried to run
it from my DOS prompt and its an invalid command...where is it?

There is no FIX DISK command. There are FDISK, FORMAT, CHKDSK, and SCANDISK
depending on what you want to do.
 
No fdisk or scandisk in XP either.

fdisk
[[[Not currently supported. Use the diskpart command, which enables you to
manage disks, partitions, or volumes. ]]

scandisk
[[Not currently supported. Use the chkdsk command, which enables you to
create and display a status report for a disk based on the file system.
Chkdsk also lists and corrects errors on the disk. ]]
