Fitting a document

I have a landscape document that I need to fit on 8 1/2 x 11 paper I do not
have a printer to shrink it. How do I do this? I went into Tools and
Options and Print, but I can't figure what to do.
 
The choice between Portrait & Landscape orientation is in File>Page Setup -
but that may not be sufficient information. What are you actually working
with? Changing the page orientation could cause other layout problems.
 
If the document is sized for legal paper (which I take to be what you mean
by "long") and you have Word 2000 or above, select "Scale to paper size:
Letter" in the Print dialog.
