It used to be with my Win95/98/ME/2K machines, every six months or so I would reformat the hard drives and start fresh since I tend to accumulate lots of stuff.
But with XP and the whole activation process, I have yet to attempt it on my main PC which has WinXP Home on it. It is the retail version, so I don't have to worry about any OEM issues.
Anyway, I have had the PC for 2 years now, and the only major changes have been a new video card and and added RAM memory.
So if I re-format my hard drive and want to start over again and re-install my retail edition of XP Home, do you think I will have any trouble whatsoever activating it again?
Thanks in advance for the help.
