Firmware not found

Downloaded the software for a digital camera and I get
this message. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is the camera connected when you try to install the software?

Yes the camera is attached. It will work on my other
computer that has XP. Even tried uninstalling the USB
ports drivers and reinstalling. I was thinking something
is missing on the computer. Thanks for your response.
 
Hi Eileen,

Are other USB devices detected on those ports?
Have you checked that they are enabled in the system BIOS?

The error message indicates that the installer is not detecting the attached
camera. This is usually a misconfigured hardware problem.
