Hi Group

I cocked up when buying my mobo and didn't get firewire on board, so i've
bought a card thinking i can connect the cable to the port on the case to
the card? Doesnt seem that simple it seems as though i need a 9 pin female
to 6 pin male, but this cable doesn't exist. Any ideas?

BTW - my card has 4 firewire ports 3 external and one internal this is the 6
pin port.

You can always try something like this:

Then you'd need a standard 6-pin M to 6-pin M firewire cable to connect
to your rear card. I know if doesn't help with your existing port but I
don't know what will.
