firewall

My computer is telling me that my firewall is off but I don't seem to be able
to turn it back on. When I click on the firewall settings it says "due to an
unidentifed problem, firewall settings cannot be shown" or something to that
effect. Any suggestions?

Plus my computer is randomly shutting itself off and restarting.

I have ZoneAlarm Pro 6.5 and having the same problem.
But after reading the 2nd link that if Windows Live is installed, then it is OK i
think this is same with Zone
