Firewall??

I am having trouble connecting to the internet (via AOL)
as well as other misc. problems. I did:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350
to try to fix - didn't work. I spoke to AOL and they
suggested MS Antispyware pgm has embedded a firewall that
is causing the problems. I uninstalled antispyware but
am unable to uninstall/reinstall AOL. Any suggestions?
Thanks

AOL is mistaken. There is no firewall embedded in Microsoft Antispyware,
and after uninstalling, no effects should be left from the program.

You might additionally try a TCP/IP reset:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

What happens when you try to reinstall AOL?

What are the other misc problems?

I can't even uninstall AOL! Msg "Uninstall AOL has
encountered a problem and needs to close." I get
security alerts when I connect to yahoo.com. McAfee
doesn't work, ITunes doesn't work. When I get on the
internet and try to log into sites with passwords I get
errors. Help!!

Just try reinstalling AOL over itself. If you have trouble--give AOL a
call--its in their interest to get you though that install, lets see if they
can do it.

If you get that far, write back with what else is still wrong, if anything.

Its best to install the particular software thats giving problems after
AntiSpyware is installed.
