Firewall Won't Start

Pete

My option in XP to start the firewall is greyed out. I've tried to get in
there through the control panel, and the 'windows firewall' with no luck. Is
there a registry setting that I can turn the firewall on with?

Check Event Viewer for errors. Check that 'Windows Firewall/Internet
Connection Sharing (ICS)' service is set to 'Automatic' and try starting
from there.

Start|Run|services.msc
