Firewall setting for a mail server

Hi,

What shall I permit in the firewall configuration for a mail server.

I have permited TCP port 25 and 110, but it doesn't work.

What doesn't work and what happens when you try? What errors do you see?
Test your firewall settings by telnetting from an external client to the
mail server on port 25.

Test your firewall settings by telnetting from an external client to the
mail server on port 25.

The port 25 on external interface was open and accepting connections.

The problem was mails sent to users on this mail server via other smtp
servers outside the LAN would not be delivered.
