After speaking to a friend I was advised to download a free Firewall. After visiting the site and downloading I wasnt happy with it and deleted the whole thing from my computer. Since I did that I cannot now surf the net at all, each page visited giving me the same this page has not been found error. I also cannot sign into any web based services such as MSN, with a message that "a firewall is stopping you from accesing". What can I do??

Chris,
What firewall? ...... did you contact them about your problem?
Did you try System Restore?

Did you delete it or did you uninstall it? If you simply deleted it, you
very well could have messed up your browser, to say the least.
