Firewall ICS Service

I have the same problem. if you're running a wireless
network, you don't have to worry, since the base station
has its own firewall. Oddly, this did not affect
my "remote" pc (laptop), where I still have access to the
Windows firewall via control panel, etc. Anyone have any
idea of how to restore access to ICS on the base station
pc? Or if it even matters?

I'm having a similar issue with my computer. I tried what was suggested here but it didn't work, if there is a place I can show a picture, I have one available. (it shows both pop up windows when I try to activate windows as well as showing what the cmd screen says when I enter "netsh winsock reset." And I am running XP pro SP2. )

Thanks for your help.
