when I run antispy ware and remove problem files my
firewall stops working after a re boot- the ICS service
can't be started

Start/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt
Type "netsh winsock reset" ENTER
Follow prompts and reboot.

Then IMMEDIATELY run an updated virus scan.
Then run AntiSpyware again.

This is not caused by AntiSpyware.
It is caused by the Spyware that has been removed

The same thing happened to me! I am running XP Home and

MS AntiSpyware disabled my Windows Firewall. When I try
to start it, I get message, "Cannot start Windows
Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) Service"

this happpends to me too, but also, aol doesnt go
past "Step 6" in the dialup phase...
