firewall adsl router

hi everyone,i would appreciate if anyone can advice on
the firewall.
i have a desktop connected to netgear router via cable
and a laptop via netgear pci wireless card.i have sp2 on
both and router has built in firewall.do i still need
additional firewall and how does it work with xp and
netgear firewalls.
