Firefox update:

Can anyone tell me what is up with the latest update for firefox
2.0.0.4?

I keep getting the message that the new update is available and it
downloads and seems to install but after re starting the browser a
message states that the update failed and will be downloaded again.
This has been happening for about a week now and no matter how I try
to install it it always fails.

Can anyone give me any more suggestions as to what to try next?

Although it is not Windows XP issue, try to Run Disk Cleanup and then try
the updates with your Firewall Disabled, make sure to Enable it after
successful update.
If still, try to uninstal the Fox, then run A virus scan and malware scan,
then download the latest version and try the installation.

You should try downloading the full version of FF from:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

(Not a happy thought if you have a slow connection) ;-)

Then uninstall the previous version, and then do a clean install of FF
2.0.0.4.
