Indeed it is. You can get versions optimised for your particular COU
here:

Scroll to bottom of list. Just the PII/PIII and P4/AMD XP builds are
up now, but the others will follow shortly.

Discussion forum for more info is here:

The forums at that site seem to be closed at present.

Since I can't ask there, how to backup prefernces and bookmarks in Firefox?

I uninstalled 0.9 using Add/Remove Programs, then installed 0.9.2. All
preferences, including bookmarks, themes, extensions and downloads remained
with no need to back up or reinstall. (Looks like C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default t49 in WindowsME)

As your other question was answered I would just note that it is the
Mozillazine forums that are down and that the Pyran forum is up.

Thanks! Installed it. Yet, again, needed to repatch it with
this to work:

Maybe old news, but I seem to be downloading Firefox 0.9.2exe when upgrading
to 0.9.1 from www.mozilla.org

Thanks for the info. I still using 9.0 and the patch worked perfectly. If
anyone wants to know if there browser is fixed after applying the patch, go to
the site below. You should see only "one" link to click on. If you see more
than "one" link to click on, you are still vulnerable (of course make sure that
you have closed and reopened your browser after applying the patch)

The patch can be installed from here:

Yesterday when I posted, and today (just looked), Pyran- above link, is still shut
down.

I dl v0.9.2 to avoid hassles. I went to the first URL below and my
browser has only one link showing, that found at this reference:

"The following will accomplish the same as the above by using it as
the source of an iframe.
Click to show file"

The "Click to show file" is what is a link.

What does this mean and is this the only one that is safe for it to be
clickable?

There's a great Bookmark Synchronizer extension for Firefox,
which uploads your bookmarks to a web or FTP site. You can
automatically keep the same bookmarks on several machines.
Add a bookmark on 1 computer, and the change propogates to the
other machines. Very nifty. Also, you can access your
bookmarks from anywhere in the world, and you have a nice off-
site backup of them at all times. Works flawlwssly.
